This is my first attempt at Five Minute Friday. If you’re not familiar with Five Minute Friday, it works like this

1. With the prompt given, write for 5 minutes – unedited without worrying about all the things writes normally stress over.
2. Link back to the original Five Minute Friday post
3. Encourage the person who linked up before you with a comment

So, today’s prompt is...Beauty.

Beauty...a word that makes me happy and brings so some many pretty images to mind.

But what is beauty? The old adage is that it’s in the eye of the beholder which is true, but I think, unfortunately, people often look more to the outside appearance than to the heart.

We spend countless dollars on lotions and potions every year to attain and keep beauty. But beauty doesn’t come in a bottle. Beauty comes from a heart that is full of love.

To see beauty in this world like God does we must look beyond the superficial. That means seeing the beauty amidst the imperfections and wrinkles.

  1. Great post. I am loving Fridays now since I started linking up 3 weeks ago. I hope you love it and I run into you again next week at Gypsy Mama. :)

  2. "But beauty doesn’t come in a bottle. Beauty comes from a heart that is full of love."
So very true...and like is this love that covers the flaws and imperfections and allows us to see straight to the heart of the matter.
    Beautiful post, Rebecca-
